A 2-day course providing the opportunity to learn about Research Ethics Review processes (including global) from partners NHS Wales, Cardiff University and University of Namibia (under the over-arching umbrella of the Phoenix Project). 

  • Day one (5th October) is devoted to learning lessons from NHS Wales, Cardiff University & University of Namibia . 

  • Day two (6th October) is focused on a global partner: the University of Namibia.  Only the commencement of day two is open to participants from outside Namibia, as the focus in on UNAM internal processes

  • Regulatory Aspects of Research Ethics

  • Overview of Processes, Structures and Committees

  • Overview of Research Cooperation

  • Ethics considerations, including advice on Retrospective Ethics Clearance

  • International research ethics review processes

  • Regulatory Framework in a Global Partner: Namibia
